A few recommendations for sending faxes

When you send a fax, your document is converted to black and white, without grayscale.

To reduce the transmission time of your fax, it is advisable to avoid grays or colours and send only pure black and white documents.

Transmission time will be increased for images as well.

Here are a few examples of converted faxes:

fax en noir

This is the recommended example.

Here the text is composed of large black areas, which is very rapid to send by fax.

fax en rouge

For areas of red (or any other colour), your fax is converted to a succession of more or less separated black and white pixels.

This black and white alternation can greatly increase transmission time.

Readability may also be decreased with colours.
